Published to mark the exhibition Kraftwerk: Dance Forever, Detroit, Michigan, 2018. Offering a captivating array of rare artifacts from the German electronic music innovators, this collection traces Kraftwerk's aesthetic evolution from the early 1970s to the contemporary era through promotional materials, sheet music, obsolete recorded media, posters, photographs, and musical toys.
The exhibit charts Kraftwerk's pioneering machine music aesthetic and its role as a catalyst for dance music, notably the emergence of Detroit Techno. The symbiotic relationship between Motor City's industrial soundscapes and Kraftwerk's sonic voyages forms the spiritual connection at the heart of this publication.
The Black edition includes a Flexi Disc — Rusty Egan Presents, 'Thank You', a tone poem homage to Kraftwerk. The Yellow edition includes a bookmark in place of the Flexi Disc.
